About

When you request the Avalokiteshvara Practice, the Druplas and monks of Do-Ngak Ling Monastery and Asura Cave will practice and recite the Mani Mantra on your behalf for all sentient beings including yourself, and for family members, loved ones, and friends, who are facing difficulties or loss.

Avalokiteshvara, known as Chenrezik in Tibetan, is the essence of the speech of all buddhas and the incarnation of their compassion. He is usually depicted as white in color and holding a lotus. He is of special importance to Tibetans, and his mani mantra is on the lips of most practitioners throughout the day.

Phakchok Rinpoche says:

“I would like to say that we all know that compassion is important and brings great benefits. Yet, we still think that on top of that we need to make grand offerings to the Buddha. However, as it is said here, the best type of offering one can make to the Buddhas is actually to cultivate compassion for beings.”
