Managing Sadhana Practice Skillfully

Description

Sādhana practice can be very confusing. And for many students, learning how to manage sādhana practice is a big issue. Often, we have received a number of empowerments and practices. Sometimes this leads to stress—which practices should we do? We worry about how to keep commitments. Managing practice can create worries that stop us from practicing. Due to these worries, we fall into a common type of laziness. Because we get confused, we stop practicing! We also may have received different meditation instructions. But we really need to understand how to integrate all of these teachings.

In this video, Tulku Migmar gives advice on how we can manage our sādhana practice and our meditation instructions. We do this by combining our practices correctly. He explains that we should not think of all the different practices as separate.

Thinking about every practice separately focuses on the quantity of practice. What is important is the quality of our practice. We need to understand correctly. We must not think that all the different manifestations have separate essences, blessings, and qualities. Therefore, we should understand that all the Buddhas are the same. With this in mind, then we can practice skillfully.
