The Kurukulle Puja, February 18, 2020
On Dakini Day, February 18th, four monks and about 24 dharma siblings gathered at the Guru Rinpoche Lhakang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the first Kurukulle puja in this beautiful shrine. The monks, who traveled all the way from the Ka-Nying Gompa in Nepal, guided the ceremony. It was a wonderful experience to be in a puja outside of Nepal with the complete ritual, close dharma friends, and in the presence of a shrine which includes the statues of the mandala of the Thukdrub Barché Künsel and of the masters of the Chokling Tersar Lineage. We experienced the perfect time, perfect place, perfect gathering and perfect practice!
Magnetizing Favorable Circumstances
The dakini Kurukulla is renowned for her magnetizing activity. Through her practice, dharma practitioners magnetize all favorable circumstances to traverse the spiritual path. These include teachers with all the qualities, genuine teachings, the ability to understand and engage with the teachings, and the necessary conditions of wealth and prosperity for the benefit of the Dharma and sentient beings, and eventually for the realization of the nature of mind. As practitioners of the Chokling Tersar Lineage, we are very fortunate to have this practice to gather the best conditions for our path.

Radiant Red
Inside the Lhakang, the traditional Chinese New Year decorations, beautiful red lamps, were hanging from the roof, shedding a red light all over the place. The shrine was set with the torma of the lotus dakini and all the required offerings. Most of us wore something red, as it is the color related to the magnetizing activity of the dakini Kurukulla; such a vibrating ambiance!
Celebrating With Dharma Family

As part of the puja, we enjoyed an amazing feast, which was so abundant that we almost couldn’t finish it all! It was a joyful event, a perfect ending and a sort of “farewell party” after a week of teachings with Khyabjé Khen Rinpoche in that amazing place where the presence of Guru Rinpoche, and our precious guru, Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche, is always felt. Even though I’m a tourist in Malaysia, practicing in that shrine with our dharma family felt like being at home. Our dharma family in Malaysia has been doing a wonderful job in making that center a place with all the necessary conditions for the Vajrayana practice. May it bring benefits to all beings in Malaysia and throughout the world!!
