Samye Malaysia Ullambana Festival
August 22 – August 27 SMT
Under the guidance of Kyabgon Phakchok Rinpoche, Samye Malaysia is pleased to announce this year’s Ullambana program as per the poster.
The Ullambana Festival aims to bring liberation to all sentient beings, including our ancestors and departed loved ones. Throughout this period, Rinpoche has advised us to partake in acts of merit by making extensive offerings and engaging in prayer recitations.
As part of the Ullambana Festival, Drubla Sonam and Lama Sherpa (a 3 year retreatant) will preside over Pujas (as stated in the poster) with an emphasis on Korwa Dongtruk. This Puja is to benefit those who have passed away (recently or at any time in the past) through the purification of negative karmic causes and conditions to ensure a good rebirth, the fulfillment of wishes, & the accumulation of merit & wisdom.
