    Dear all,

The situation in Nepal due to the recent earthquakes is devastating. More than 7000 deaths and hundreds of thousands of victims are in need of food, water, medicine, shelter, rehousing. Many of those are in very remote places, making it extremely difficult to access with aid.

CGLF Foundation under Phakchok Rinpoche is in place with many good and hard working people, as well as other organisations. What is mostly needed right now is money to support buying supplies locally, to allow for transportation to the areas in need, support repairing and rebuilding houses and monasteries etc.

The site http://earthquakerelief.cglf.org has been established to gather up-to-date information on the status in the different areas; what is currently being done; where the help is most needed etc. On this site you can also get guidelines for how you can disseminate the message that help is urgently needed, to your networks and your society.

We need to find ways of inspiring people all over the planet to keep supporting and helping – also the ones that might not have supported in the first place, and this is where activities such as fundraising events; press-coverage, garage-sales; BBQ’s etc etc can be a really effective means of fundraise for the earthquake relief.

You can get more information on both how you can support and how you can inspire others to support here:
