It is wonderful to know that we are all starting the practice. May the blessings multiply.

Hi, Stanislav, Kristoffer and Hilary! I agree, when it is not possible to practice as a group in person, the virtual world is always a great tool. I love to read these group discussions, and it is great to have our profiles with our pictures. When I do my practice, I try to think of all my dharma brothers and sisters there with me, including you, Stanislav, now that I can see your picture 😀 I will do aspirations for you to be able to join a group soon, whether it is in your country or you get to travel to attend some teachings with one of our great masters.
Hang in there and keep the aspiration!

Thank you for saying that! Where are these videos?

Thank you for all your comments, they’ve been most helpful. I especially thought about what Matthew says: it has to do with how you relate with your discursive thoughts during shamatha practice. I will try to increase my awareness about that. Thanks!

Thank you, very much, Gail, I’m looking forward for it!

There is a prayer of aspiration, Jigme Lingpa’s “Entering the City of Omniscience”, which I find really inspiring. Rinpoche gave it to a group of Mexicans in 2007, and I read it whenever I can; I find it especially inspiring when you are in a sacred place for the first time. For me, it helps you to visualize yourself throughout the whole path towards enlightenment, so, as Rinpochela said, aspiration is at the back, pushing your devotion and your motivation.
Love to all of you,
Monica

Hi, Rune. I remember that in the retreat at Cooperstown 2015 Rinpoche did mention that the mantra with the syllable AH is for confessing, and that the mantra with the syllable HUNG is for receiving blessings.
Hope this helps 🙂
Best,
Monica

Wow, Robby, thank you for your message, it is really inspiring. I especially liked what you mention about the waking up practice, I’ll do it; I agree with you: the number is just a guideline, we should not be discouraged! Aaand, true, we should just surrender to the objects of refuge. Thank you!
Andrea, thanks for the advice. I agree with you, the practice is a journey. Thank you for reminding me to be open to receive the blessings. Rinpoche highlighted the importance of really feeling the presence of the objects of refuge while practicing. I still struggle with feeling the presence of ALL of them, but I try to focus on a few, at least GR (and our dear Phakchok Rinpoche), Chokgyur Lingpa and Vajrasattva. Also, as a woman, I feel inspired by the presence of Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarava.
Best wishes to everyone!

Wow! Kelly, I did not know this about your daughter, but I will certainly copy your aspiration. Thanks for sharing!
