Mahayoga Practices Resources
Mahayoga is the first of the inner tantras and the practice most of us proceed to after completing the ngöndro. In Mahayoga sadhanas, we embrace the practice with the three samadhis. The first samadhi, the samadhi of suchness, is resting in the realization of the nature of the mind, the emptiness of the dharmakaya. The second is the all-illuminating samadhi, the ceaseless compassion of the sambhogakaya. The final samadhi, the causal samadhi, is the indivisibility of the previous two arising in the nirmanakaya form as the yidam deity’s seed syllable. This page collects Samye Institute’s teachings on Mahayoga practice from the Vajrayana Membership.
